Care and Maintenance Instructions 

For routine cleaning, use mild soap and warm water or Dawn Powerwash with a soft cloth. Harsh cleaners may reduce the life span of the product. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubs.

For stubborn stains, we recommend using 70% isopropyl alcohol and gently wiping the affected area.

Stain Resistance

Our protective film is stain resistant, not stain proof.

While the film is designed to resist staining, certain products known to stain may still leave marks if left on the surface for an extended period. Prompt cleanup is recommended.

Heat Resistance

Our protective film is heat resistant, not heat proof.

Although the film is designed to tolerate high heat, we recommend using trivets, coasters, or heat pads for high-temperature items removed directly from a stove, oven, or heat source.

Common Occurrences

  • For turmeric stains, clean the area with Dawn Powerwash and allow natural UV light to help break down the pigment. Opening nearby blinds or windows to expose the area to sunlight may help.

    In our experience, turmeric stains often fade significantly or disappear within 2–3 days.

  • Film installed near sinks, faucets, or other water-prone areas may be more susceptible to hard water staining.

    To help reduce buildup and extend the life of the product, dry the surface regularly with a clean microfiber towel.

  • Certain makeup products may stain if left on the surface for an extended period.

    Clean makeup spills or residue promptly using 70% isopropyl alcohol and a soft cloth.

Product Life Expectancy

With proper care and normal use, our protective film is expected to last up to 10 years.

Actual product lifespan may vary depending on daily use, cleaning practices, traffic, exposure to moisture, and general wear and tear. The film is designed to be replaceable if it becomes damaged or worn over time.

Limited Product Warranty

Stone Shield offers a 5-year limited warranty on its protective film against material defects, including: yellowing, blistering, or bubbling.

What is Excluded: This warranty strictly covers material defects. Damages caused by wear and tear is not covered such as, but not limited to scratches, gouging, scuffing, or accidental peeling.

If you notice any lifting, edge movement, or dirt accumulation around the film, please contact us as soon as possible. In many cases, the affected area can be trimmed and resealed to help prevent further buildup and lifting.
